About La Sagra

A festival for food.

In Italy, they take their ingredients very seriously — to the extent that they have an entirely separate word for festivals centered around specific foods.
La Sagra. “La sagra del tartufo” or “la sagra della pizza”
Typically, it is a community driven event with lots of dancing, entertainment and vendors all there to celebrate the best of the season.

Chefs and home cooks alike will show up with all sorts of creations based around the exalted ingredient showcasing it’s beauty while utilizing the
abundance of the harvest.

A covered outdoor patio area with a view of lush green trees and fields in the distance. The patio has a wooden roof and railing, with a table set for a meal with glasses, black napkins, and plates.

These are the best aspects of a meal. Great food surrounded by a loving community with a deep appreciation for what we eat.

This is why we love to cook for you. To slow down time for a while and carve out some wonderful memories for you and your loved ones.
To celebrate each other as much as the table that brings us all together.

La Sagra was started by Chef Matt Richter, an industry professional with over 15 years of elite restaurant experience. Private dining has enabled him & his professionally trained chefs to create truly unique experiences by catering to people’s specific preferences and desires.

Largely serving the greater Austin, Texas area, from Tarrytown or West Lake Hills to the East Side and even Wimberley, we have also been fortunate enough to bring our work to NYC, Aspen, Idaho, Bozeman to name a few.

So let us help bring your family & friends closer. Birthdays, holidays, bachelor/bachelorette parties or simply because you miss that IRL quality time. There’s never a bad reason to get the gang together.

Let la sagra begin!

One of Matt’s greatest strengths is his ability to compose the “perfect bite.” His dishes have such cohesion and beauty to them, while still being interesting, unique and visually appealing.
